
I happend across a recipe (jencomaskeck.com) for homemade chocolate ice cream and obviously I made when I walked in the door. This was easy and was definitley a hit in our house tonight. I had all the ingredients on hand, but of course there are substitues you can use.
in a small bag that will zip tightly, pour in:
- 1 heaping tsp cocoa
- 1 pack of sweatener (I used Stevia), but you could definitley use sugar – about 1/3 of a cup
- 1 scoop chocolate protien powder (optional)
- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk – or half and half cream)
shake this all up in the tightly zipped bag
Put lots of ice in a BIG ziplock bag (about 1/3 of the bag) and add 1/3 cup of salt to the ice. Put the small sealed ziplock in the ice bag and shake it for about 5 minutes.
Voila – Ice Cream!! Seriously, have some now.
*Next time I will add PB and chocolate chunks of some sort.
